Meet Mark

Mark Childs is the founder of the MC Performance Centre . Mark is a fully qualified personal trainer & strength and conditioning coach with a background in professional football himself.

Mark has worked with some of the best Strength & Conditioning coaches in the UK & Europe, helping to gain knowledge of how to best work with players at the top level. He contributed to develop his CPD by completing multiple certifications from the NSCA, as well as currently working towards his UKSCA Accreditation.

Mark has worked with Footballers who have played at the highest level, National level Netballer’s, Horse riders & Golfers as well as some of the best upcoming Youth athletes in South Coast.

Mark has immense pride in the services MC Performance provides & believes in going above & beyond for everyone associated. Athletes can see this with the in-depth services the MC Performance Centre provides.

Our MC Performance Centre motto is ‘Set the Standard’. This is something Mark believes applies to everything we do as an company & a message which drives our teams constant self-development to deliver services to the highest standards.

Meet Gemma

Gemma McGuinness is a qualified Performance Nutritionist who has experience working with clients ranging from the general population seeking to improve their health and body composition, to elite athletes aiming to improve their performance.

Gemma is passionate about helping people improve their relationship with food & build healthier habits that lead to higher performing lives which aligns perfectly with us at MC Performance.

If you're an athlete who lacks knowledge around fuelling for your training, competition & recovering efficiently then Gemma can take your nutrition to new levels.

Meet Mary

Mary graduated from Loughborough University where she studied BSc Sport and Exercise Science.

She volunteered as an S&C coach with Loughborough Swimming and completed a placement with British Skeleton alongside currently interning as a sport scientist with British Weightlifting. Mary designs & delivers our Group Personal Training sessions alongside working 1-1 with Athletes & designing our programmes at the MC Performance Centre.

Mary supports our members and athletes with the delivery of workshops, ongoing client support and assisting in Nutritional guidance alongside our Performance Nutritionist.

Expect high energy, commitment and a coach who will go above and beyond for you when working with Mary.
